
Wolfpack Swimmers Continue to Shine on Day Two at TYR Pro Swim Series

Austin, Texas. – The #3/14 NC State swimming team did not let up Friday after a successful opening day at the TYR Pro Swim Series as it posted 11 top ten finishes to wrap up day two inside the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center.
The men's 100 freestyle was a highly successful event for NC State as it earned two finishes inside the top five. Ryan Held clocked in at 49.35 to finish second while Justin Ress finished fourth in a time of 50.29.
The 800 freestyle was also a strong event for the Wolfpack with Anton Ipsen finishing second on the men's side in 7:57.64 seconds while on the women's side Hannah Moore was third 8:36.87 seconds, Tamila Holub finished fifth in 8:45.56 seconds and Ariel Finke placed seventh in 8:48.61 seconds.
The men's 100 backstroke was a strong event for NC State as Justin Ress finished third in a time of 54.43 while Hennessey Stuart placed ninth thanks to his time of 55.65.
Andreas Vazaios took sixth in the 200 IM finshing in 2:02.94 seconds.
Julia Poole continued to show why she is one of the prominent rising stars of college swimming, finishing sixth in the 200 IM on the women's side as she clocked in at 2:16.39 seconds.
The men's 200 butterfly also saw a member of the Wolfpack claim a top ten finish; Lucca Martins finished tenth in a time of 2:02.72 seconds.
