ZIONSVILLE, IND. – The NC State men's golf team opened the 2017 fall season in ideal conditions Friday at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate held at Wolf Run Golf Club in Zionsville, Ind. After one round of play, the Pack sits in a tie for second place in the 16-team field.
With an 18-hole score of 288, NC State is tied with Arkansas State and sits four strokes back from tournament leader Kentucky.
The Pack was paced by Stephen Franken, Nolan Mills and Harrison Rhoades who all shot even-par 71 on the day. All three players are currently in a tie for ninth place.
Christian Salzer (75) is in a tie for 29th place and Benjamin Shipp (83) is tied for 82nd to round out the Pack contingent.
The Pack will be back on the course Saturday morning for the second round. and will conclude play on Sunday with the third and final round.
