
Pack Leads Golfweek Conference Challenge Heading Into Final Round

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA – The NC State men's golf team will take a five-shot lead into the final round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge held at the Cedar Rapids Country Club.
The Pack shot a team score of 286, two-under-par, in the second round on Monday. Tournament host Iowa is in second, five shots back of the Pack, and San Francisco is in third, seven strokes back of the Hawkeyes.
Benjamin Shipp led NC State on Monday with a three-under-par 69. After shooting a 68 on Sunday, Shipp sits in second-place in the tournament, one shot back of the leader, with a two round score of seven-under-par.
Stephen Franken is two shots back of Shipp on the individual leaderboard in a tie for fourth-place with a score of 139, five-under-par. After shooting a 66 in the opening round, Franken shot 73 on Monday.
Freshman Easton Paxton is in a tie for ninth-place with a two round score of three-under-par 141. Paxton shot a 71 in the second round.
Nolan Mills Jr., is in a tie for 23rd place with a two round score of one-over-par 175. Mills, Jr., shot a 75 on Monday.
Harrison Rhoades was the only NC State golfer to shoot a better round Monday as he carded a one-over-par 73 and moved up to a tie for 38th place.
The Pack opens the third and final round Tuesday with the first NC State golfer teeing off at 10 a.m. ET.
