Ress, Zevnik & Moore Qualify for Finals on Day Three of WUGS

TAIPEI, Taiwan – Despite having an incredibly busy opening two days at the World University Games, Justin Ress and Alexia Zevnik continued to impress as they both earned their way into finals, as did Hannah Moore on day three at the National Taiwan Sports University.

Ress earned the No. 5 seed in the 50-meter backstroke, thanks to his time of 25.19 in the semifinal and will look to go three-for-three on gold medals in tomorrow night's final.

Zevnik continued her stellar form, finishing the semifinal of the 100 backstroke in 1:00.62 seconds to earn the fourth overall seed for the final tomorrow night.

Competing in her first event at the Games, Moore earned the second seed in tomorrow's final of the 1500 freestyle, completing the race in a time of 16.16.85 seconds.

Ress, Zevnik and Moore will each compete in the finals of their respective events, along with Ryan Held, who competes in the heat and semifinal of the 100 freestyle. Kayla Brumbaum will also contest the 200 breaststroke, as she looks to secure a spot in the final.
