RALEIGH, N.C. - Wolfpack fans can get a sneak peek at the 2017 team in action at the annual Lift for Life event on Wednesday, July 19. The NC State chapter of Uplifting Athletes will host the event at 7 p.m. in the Close-King Indoor Practice Facility. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
The NC State Lift For Life will feature position-specific drills, as well as 7-on-7 and 1-on-1 competitions. Afterwards, the players will be available for autographs and photos.
Lift For Life is the signature fundraising event for the Uplifting Athletes nationwide network of chapters led by college football student-athletes. Each chapter embraces the mission of Uplifting Athletes using college football as a platform to inspire the rare disease community with hope through the power of sport.
The proceeds from the NC State Chapter annual Lift For Life supports Uplifting Athletes and its commitment to life skills development, patient focused programs and rare disease research. NC State started tackling rare diseases in 2011 when it joined Uplifting Athletes. The student-athlete led NC State Chapter serves the rare disease community in honor of former Wolfpack offensive coordinator Dana Bible, who battled the rare disease acute promyelocytic leukemia in 2009.
