Parsons Named Second-Team All-American

Senior Sam Parsons finished his 2017 outdoor season with a 15th-place finish in the 10,000 meters at the 2017 Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon late Wednesday evening. Parsons clocked in at 29:27.58 in the field of 24 to earn second-team All-America honors.
Running the event at nationals for the second straight year, the Newark, Del., native bettered his mark from the preliminary meet (29:58.60) in the championships  Parsons, who earned his degree from NC State last month, was the ACC runner-up in the outdoor 5,000m this season.
On Thursday evening, Megan Moye will compete in the semifinals of the 1500 meters. That event will begin at 10:46 p.m. eastern time. Â
