The Wolfpack's match will take place on Saturday, May 13 at 9 a.m. and is set to be held at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex at the University of Georgia. NC State is one of nine ACC teams to make the field of 64.
This marks NC State's eighth overall tournament appearance and second consecutive berth under head coach Simon Earnshaw. In just his third year at the helm of the Wolfpack, Earnshaw led the team to its most resounding season in program history this year, compiling an 18-9 (7-7 ACC) regular season ledger. The team's 18 dual match wins and seven conference victories during the regular season mark program records in each respective category. Â
Two Wolfpack Women, Martina Frantova and Anna Rogers, also notably earned conference honors this year. Frantova garnered Second Team All-ACC while Rogers notched Third Team All-ACC. Although both have had strong years in singles play, their season's have been highlighted by their tremendous success together in doubles play. The duo has become the most decorated tandem in NC State history, tallying an overall record of 21-1 (12-1 ACC). They will enter the NCAA Tournament on a 15 match winning streak. Â
With a win over the Ducks, the Pack would take on No. 3 University of Georgia (17-5) or South Carolina St. (9-10) in the second round.Â
