CLEMSON, S.C. – The NC State men's tennis team picked up a crucial 5-2 victory over Clemson at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon. The victory moves the Pack to 10-10 (1-4 ACC) and Clemson falls to 8-9 (1-4 ACC).

The Wolfpack took early momentum with doubles wins on courts one and two. The newly formed doubles partners of Alexis Galarneau and Michael Ogden led from the top spot with a 6-4 win over Clemson's Daffra Sanon and Sam Edwards. Nick Horton and Georgiy Malyshev added a victory on court two with a 6-3 win over Alex Favrot and Robert Dudley.

In singles play, NC State rolled out to a 3-1 lead after Igor Saveljic claimed a 6-3, 6-2 win on court three and Ivan Saveljic added a 6-2, 7-5 win on court six. Clemson tallied a victory on court five, bringing the score to 3-1.

The Pack clinched the match, as No. 87 Horton defeated Sanon 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 from court 2. No. 92 Galarneau rallied at No. 1 singles to win 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 1-0 (10-3) over Favrot and clinch a team-leading 19^th victory of the year. Clemson concluded the match win a three-set win on court four to bring the score to 5-2.

NC State faces a weekend of road matches, traveling to Notre Dame on Friday and Boston College on Sunday.
