RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men's tennis team fell to No. 2 Virginia in ACC play on Friday afternoon at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. The Wolfpack falls to 9-10 (0-4 ACC) with the 7-0 result, while UVA improves to 16-0 (3-0 ACC).

In doubles play, NC State dropped matches on courts two and three, forcing the No. 63 ranked duo of Nick Horton and Alexis Galarneau to leave their match unfinished at 4-4.

UVA carried the momentum into singles play and topped the Pack on courts three, four, five and one in straight sets. NC State challenged the Cavaliers on courts two and five. Galarneau was unable to get the win, falling 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 in the final set. Ivan Saveljic went into a tie-breaker against Aswin Lizen on court six, but couldn't pull off the win losing 6-4, 4-6, 6-7 (4-7).

NC State will be back in action Sunday against Clemson at 1 p.m. at Sloan Tennis Center.
