INDIANAPOLIS—Day three of the 2017 Women's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, held inside the IU Natatorium, was highlighted by top-eight finishes from Kayla Brumbaum and the 200 medley relay team.
Brumbaum finished seventh in the 100 breaststroke, marking the first time an individual from NC State has scored in the top-16 in the event since 1982.
After three days of competition, NC State has collected 17 All-America honors as well as broken three school records and one conference record.
Through 14 events, the Wolfpack stands in ninth place with 117 points, while Stanford continues to lead the team standings with 374.5 points, California remains in second with 255 points and Texas A&M has moved into third place with 209 points.

Wolfpack Relays
The team of Elise Haan, Brumbaum, Natalie Labonge and Ky-Lee Perry earned the team its second top-eight relay finish of the week, taking seventh overall with a time of 1:35.70. The time stands as the second-fastest time in program history.
Breaststroke
Senior Brumbaum earned a seventh-place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 58.91, marking her first individual podium finish at a NCAA Championship meet as well as tabbing her first team All-America honors. Her performance from the prelim session, 58.54, stands as a school record.
Backstroke
Two from the Wolfpack earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 100 backstroke. Alexia Zevnik finished 10th with a time of 51.26 while Elise Haan touched in 51.63 to take 12th overall. In the preliminary session, Lotta Nevalainen took 31st place with a time of 53.10 and Mackenzie Glover earned a 44th-place finish, stopping the clock in 53.58.
Butterfly
Krista Duffield represented the Wolfpack in the 100 butterfly, touching the wall in 52.89 to finish 35th.
Freestyle
In the 200 freestyle, senior Rachel Muller finished 39th overall with a time of 1:47.13.
Individual Medley
Hannah Moore swam a time of 4:08.18 to take 17th in the 400 individual medley. The time marks a season-best for the sophomore.

The Wolfpack will return to the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis for the final day of the NCAA Championships. Prelims will start at 10 a.m., early heats of the 1,650 free will begin at 3:45 p.m. and finals will commence at 6 p.m. The day's events include the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, 1,650 free and 400 free relay.
