WILSON, N.C. – Sophomore Nolan Mills Jr. of the NC State men's golf team claimed top honors at the Barton Intercollegiate Tuesday evening. Through three rounds of golf over two days, Mills shot an impressive 211 (-5) to defeat his nearest competitor in the 70-golfer field by three strokes.
One of four Wolfpack golfers to compete as an individual at the tournament, Mills Jr. was followed by teammates Justin Hood (T4), Chad Cox (T9), and Dwight Cauthen (T12).

Mills is off to a strong start to his sophomore season, having completed 7 of 13 rounds at or under par. The Barton Intercollegiate marked his second straight competition with a solid finish, as he tied for 11th at the recent Heel/Pack Invitational.
The Wolfpack returns to action as a full team on Friday, March 17 at the three-day Chris Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, Ga.
