
Four Selected to NCAA Indoor Championships

RALEIGH, N.C. – Four from the NC State track and field team have advanced to the NCAA Indoor Championships, which will be held in College Station, Texas, March 9-10.
Joshua Davis (Weight Throw), Erika Kemp (5,000m), Rachel Koon (3,000m) and Megan Moye (Mile) have all qualified for national meet after being named in the top-16 entries of their respective events.
Davis, Kemp and Moye are all making return trips to the meet after qualifying in 2016. Koon will make her first NCAA track appearance at the meet.
Davis enters the weight throw competition as the 13th seed with a mark of 71'7.25". Last season, Davis competed as the only underclassmen in the event and earned Second Team All-America honors. Most recently, Davis won bronze in the weight throw at the ACC Indoor Championships.
Kemp holds the 14th seed with a time of 15:56.52 in the 5,000m that she clocked at the BU Season Opener. Last year, Kemp earned First-Team All-America honors in the 5,000m. She enters the meet after winning her first ACC individual title in the 3,000m this past weekend.
Koon has qualified as the No. 6 seed in the 3,000m with a time of 9:05.32. She set the mark at the Camel City Elite after racing with some of the country's top college and professional athletes.
Moye enters the meet as the No. 13 seed in the mile with a time of 4:36.32. Moye earned First Team All-America honors in 2016 in the event. She recently won bronze in the mile at the ACC Indoor Championships.
