Blue Ribbon Panel ranks senior duo among league’s top 15 players

RALEIGH – Senior guards Miah Spencer and Dominique Wilson of the No. 17/18 NC State women's basketball team have been named to the Blue Ribbon Panel's All-ACC Second Team for the second consecutive year, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Miah Spencer | Senior Guard | Decatur, Ga.
Averaging 12.1 points, 5.0 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game … Has scored 10+ points 19 times and 20+ points three times this season … Has dished out 5+ assists in a game on 19 occasions this season … Scored a season high 24 points against Wake Forest on Feb. 19 … Contributed nine assists in a single game on two occasions: Jan. 12 at No. 24 Syracuse and Feb. 23 in a 20-point win over UNC-CH … Is NC State's second most accurate shooting starter at 119-251 (.474) … Hit the game winning shot in overtime during NC State's 72-70 win at No. 9/7 Louisville on Feb. 2 … Became the only player in the history of NC State women's basketball to score 1,500 points and dish out 450 assists in a career … Currently ranks No. 4 in program history with 489 assists and No. 16 with 1,523 points.

Dominique Wilson | Redshirt Senior Guard | Powder Springs, Ga.
Averaging 13.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game … Has scored 10+ points 20 times and 20+ points four times … Has scored a season high of 23 points on four occasions, all Wolfpack wins: Nov. 16 vs. Hampton, Dec. 1 vs. Indiana, Feb. 9 at Georgia Tech, and Feb. 16 at Boston College … Has led the team in scoring in 12 games this season … Despite playing just three seasons at NC State, ranks eighth in program history with 157 made three-pointers … Has consistently ranked within the national top 30 in free throw shooting this season at 95-112 (.848) … Became the 32nd player in program history to surpass 1,000 points at NC State during the Wolfpack's win over Indiana.

With a 59-48 win at Virginia on Sunday, the Wolfpack locked up the No. 4 seed in the upcoming ACC Tournament and will open postseason play in the quarterfinal round on Friday, March 3 at 11 a.m. NC State will play the winner of Virginia Tech/Clemson vs. Louisville at the HTC Center in Conway, S.C.
