Quotes from the Wolfpack
Head Coach Wes Moore's opening statement: "Obviously we played a great second quarter. In the first quarter, we dug a bit of a hole, and I thought Nae Nae Cole came in and did a great job for us. I feel bad for her: I told her that she hasn't done anything wrong to lose playing time, it's just that Chelsea (Nelson) and Akela (Maize) have been playing so well. It was good for her to get out there and get an opportunity to contribute, and I thought she did a great job. I thought our guards did a great job of taking care of the ball, sharing the ball, making good decisions, and obviously, scoring. You've got to have some people that step up and take those shots when you need them, so I thought they did a great job.
"I liked our energy. I thought in shootaround (in the morning) we were ready to play. We hadn't played at home in a long time. Everybody was excited about being back here. The crowd was great, and it was a fun atmosphere."
Miah Spencer on heading towards the end of the regular season: "One of our goals is to just, at the right time, keep peaking. We want to be the best we can be by the time we get to March, so that's one of our main points of focus. Like Dom(inique Wilson) said, we just have to keep taking it one game at a time."
NC State returns to action on Thursday, Feb. 16 at Boston College. The Wolfpack then returns home for the 12th annual Play4Kay game on Sunday, Feb. 19 on Kay Yow Court inside Reynolds Coliseum. A very limited number of tickets remain and can be purchased here.
