Wolfpack Checks in at No. 3 in 2018 EAGL Preseason Poll

BALTIMORE – The NC State gymnastics team checks in at No. 3 in the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) preseason poll, released on Wednesday morning. The poll is based on ranking projections given by head coaches of the six EAGL institutions.
George Washington, last season's EAGL Champion, topped the poll with 34 points and four first-place votes. New Hampshire was picked second with 29 points and one first-place vote.

1. George Washington (34 points, four first place votes)
2. New Hampshire (29 points, one first place vote)
3. NC State (23 points)
4. Pittsburgh (18 points, one first place vote)
5. UNC-Chapel Hill (15 points)
6. Towson  (seven points)

In head coach Kim Landrus' first season at the helm of the Wolfpack, NC State returns three student-athletes who qualified for the 2017 NCAA Gainesville Regional; Chelsea Knight (all-around), Paris Phillips (vault) and Melissa Brooker (bars). The team wrapped up the 2017 EAGL Championships with a team score of 194.875 and a third-place finish
