NC State Hosts Strong Elon Squad Saturday Evening

RALEIGH – Currently riding a three-game win streak and a 7-0 mark inside Reynolds Coliseum, the NC State women's basketball team (9-2) hosts its final home game before the holiday break on Saturday evening when local foe Elon comes to town. Tip-off between the Wolfpack and Phoenix is set for 6 p.m. from Reynolds Coliseum with live video coverage provided by ACC Network Extra.

SATURDAY PROMOTIONS
-Holiday Game: fans, staff, and coaches are encouraged to wear their best holiday attire. Fans will have the opportunity to participate in on-court contests and win other prizes.
-Free NC State tree ornaments to the first 300 people to visit the marketing table inside the BB&T Grand Hall near the Wolfpack Tracks wall.

-Returning two starters from a team that went 27-7 last season, won the Colonial Athletic Association, and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.
-Fourth nationally in rebound margin (+15.2).
-Sixth nationally in rebounds per game (47.3).
-19th nationally in scoring margin (+20.9).
-19th nationally in FG% defense (.343).
-Ra'Shika White leads the Phoenix with 14.3 points per game.
-Shay Burnett ranks 16th nationally with 6.6 assists per game. She is also the team's leading rebounder with 8.7 per game.
-Elon is currently ranked sixth in the College Insider Mid-Major Poll.

SERIES HISTORY (NC STATE LEADS 7-1)
-Saturday's game marks the ninth meeting between the programs. All of the meetings have been in Raleigh.
-In the last meeting between the teams, Elon won 69-66 on Dec. 13, 2015 inside Broughton High School's Holliday Gymnasium.

DEADLY FROM DISTANCE
Sophomore Aislinn Konig has really hit her stride from beyond the arc during the early portion of this season. The British Columbia native is shooting .397 from distance and has hit at least three three-pointers in six consecutive games.

PRETTY TOUGH AT HOME
Presently in the fifth season under head coach Wes Moore, the Wolfpack is 58-12 at home since the beginning of the 2013-14 season. In non-conference games at home, Moore has led the Wolfpack to a 37-2 mark.

MAJOR REBOUNDING ADVANTAGE
In 11 games this season, NC State has won nine rebounding contests. The Wolfpack has twice this season out-rebounded its opponents by 20 or more (South Alabama and Georgetown).

LEAVE NO DOUBT
All nine of NC State's wins this season have been by at least 12 points. The largest margin of victory was 32 and the average has been 19.2.
