FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – For the first time this season, the NC State women's basketball team (5-0) has entered the national rankings. The Wolfpack was voted into a tie for 23rd with California in the Nov. 21 edition of the USA Today Coaches Poll.
NC State is off to its fifth winning streak of 5+ games since fifth year head coach Wes Moore took over prior to the beginning of the 2013-14 season. The Wolfpack recently picked up its first road win of the season on Monday evening, earning a 73-56 win at Old Dominion on the strength of three players scoring in double figures and redshirt sophomore Kaila Ealey nearly recording the third triple double in program history.
NC State landed in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Tuesday afternoon and will begin play at the relocated Puerto Rico Clasico against Alabama at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 23.
