PALM DESERT, Calif. –  The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Fall Championships came to an end on Thursday evening for No. 26 Claudia Wiktorin & Anna Rogers of the NC State women's tennis team as they fell 6-4,1-6,1-0 (8) to No. 6 Alexa Bortles & Arianne Hartono of Ole Miss at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, California.
After dropping the opening set, the Wolfpack duo showed resiliency to win the second and force a third-set tiebreak; unfortunately they could not carry their momentum over to the tiebreak and were defeated 10-8
"Tough day today; lost a very tight one to Ole Miss," explained assistant coach David Secker. "At this level of event all the matches have been tight and we have to find a way to thrive in these tight situations. Overall, two more quality matches and exposure. Conclusion of a very good fall for these two."
