LAS VEGAS – The NC State women's tennis got its fall finale off on the right foot as it recorded a perfect 7-0 record on the opening day of play at the Rebel Invitational at the Ferttita Tennis Complex on Friday.
Head coach Simon Earnshaw saw many positive signs from the Wolfpack as it accumulated its perfect record.
"Overall, thought we did a great job today and set the tone right from the get go in doubles," he explained. "You're always concerned when you go cross-country with the change in playing conditions but thought that we handled the transition extremely well in practice yesterday and again today. Moving forward I don't take anything for granted, tomorrow is a new day and we are going to have our work cut out to continue the momentum we have built. I expect the girls will be up for the task and be excited for the next day of competition."
