The 14th-ranked duo of sophomore Alexis Galarneau and junior Michael Ogden earned a spot in the doubles main draw. After competing in the Cary ATP Challenger together in September, the pair returns to the court for fall tennis play.
Galarneau will also compete in the singles main draw. Returning after a 25-win freshman season, he stands at No. 43 in the ITA preseason singles poll. The tournament marks the beginning of his fall campaign.
Main draw competition runs from Oct. 5-9. Singles quarterfinalists, doubles semifinalists, and consolation singles and doubles finalists at the tournament will receive an automatic entry into the 2017 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, which runs from Nov. 1-5 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells, Calif.
