RALEIGH – For the first time in program history, the NC State men's soccer team (8-4-4) will host an ACC Tournament first round match when Virginia Tech comes to Raleigh on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 1. Kickoff between the Wolfpack and Hokies is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Dail Soccer Stadium with live video coverage provided by ACC Network Extra.

LAST MATCH
NC State ended the 2017 regular season by stretching its unbeaten run to seven matches with a 0-0 draw against Boston College Friday evening at Dail Soccer Stadium. The draw marked NC State's seventh shutout of the season, as the Wolfpack has only conceded 17 goals in 16 matches.

Friday served as NC State's Senior Night, during which the program recognized the accomplishments and contributions of departing seniors Jan-Luca Ahillen, Ian Dowding (manager), Julius Duchscherer, Caleb Duvernay, Jake Dykes, Maximilian Luftl, and Roland Minogue.

In 10 home matches this season, NC State is 6-1-3 and has outscored its opponents 13-7.

In new head coach George Kiefer's first season in Raleigh, the Wolfpack finished the ACC schedule with a 3-3-2 record and tied for seventh place in the league standings with Notre Dame to achieve the best finish since 2009.

NC State has a very strong postseason resume for the 2017 season. The Wolfpack has picked up two wins over conference foes ranked in the top five at kickoff and one draw against a top-10 ACC side. In all, the Wolfpack has picked up seven wins or draws against teams that currently rank within the RPI top 49 , is an unbeaten 4-0-1 against teams with RPI 150-200, and all four losses are against teams in the RPI top 48 (three in the top 10.)
