LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The NC State women's cross country program claimed its 23rd ACC Championship trophy with a dominant performance Friday morning at the E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park. It was the second-straight conference title for the Wolfpack women, who finished with 43 points.
On the men's side, NC State finished third with a total of 98 points. The Pack men have now finished inside the top-three at ACC's at 27 of the last 29 conference meets.

No. 22 NC State totaled 98 points from its top-five runners, who all finished within 15 seconds of each other. The Wolfpack edged Virginia by two points to claim third place. Syracuse took home the team title for the fifth-straight year.
Philip Hall, Joe Bistritz and Ben Barrett placed 14th, 15th and 16th respectively to lead the Pack. Bistritz, a native of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, shaved nearly a minute off his personal-best 8K with a time of 23:58.6.
True freshman Ian Shanklin suited up for the first time this season, crossing the line 23rd in his first conference meet. He set an 8K PR with a time of 24:03.6. Graduate student Aubrey Myjer completed the Wolfpack top-five as he finished 30th with a mark of 24:13.7.
Alec Thomas was the Pack's sixth man, posting a huge PR for the second-straight meet as he placed 35th in 24:18.0. Elijah Moskowitz came across next with a mark of 24:19.4 to finish 39th. Patrick Sheehan was the Pack's last finisher, completing the course in 24:33.6 to place 49th.

Women's Race Recap
No. 5 NC State dominated the women's 6K, highlighted by a 3-4-5 punch from Dominique Clairmonte, Elly Henes and Rachel Koon. With a score of 43, the Wolfpack beat every team in the field by more than 60 points.
Clairmonte led the Pack for the second-consecutive meet, breaking the 20-minute barrier with a 19:59.0 clocking in her first ACC meet for third place. Henes followed closely behind, finishing fourth with a personal-best mark of 20:02.8. Wolfpack All-American Rachel Koon crossed the line just seconds later, earning her second-straight top-five ACC finish in 20:04.6.
Beth Taye was the Pack's fourth finisher, placing 10th with a time of 20:26.2. Wolfpack junior Ryen Frazier rounded out the top-five for NC State with a mark of 20:47.7 to place 21st.
Bianca Bishop earned her highest finish at ACC's as she placed 25th with a PR of 20:55.8. Redshirt-senior Alyssa Rudawsky and freshman Isabel Zimmermann crossed the line next for the Pack, posting 31st- and 35th-place finishes, respectively. Bethany Neeley placed 38th with a time of 21:17.0, followed by Megan Rempel who placed 63rd in her season debut.

Eight #PackXC Athletes Named All-ACC
The Wolfpack men's and women's teams totaled eight All-ACC performances. To earn All-ACC accolades, an athlete must finish inside the top-21 at the conference meet.
For the men, Hall (14th) claimed All-ACC honors after missing the award by one place a year ago. Bistritz (15th) was named all-conference in his first-career ACC meet, while Barrett (16th) claimed an All-ACC nod for the second-straight season.
On the women's side, Clairmonte (3rd) and Taye (10th) took home All-ACC honors for the first time in their careers. Henes (4th), Koon (5th) and Frazier (21st) repeated as All-ACC honorees for the second-straight season.

In two weeks, the Pack will gear up for the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships, set for Friday, Nov. 10 in Charlottesville, Va. The top-two teams from each region earn an automatic bid to the NCAA National Championships in Louisville on Saturday, Nov. 18.
