Softball Closes Fall Slate At Elon Friday

RALEIGH – The NC State softball team will close out its fall slate Friday when it travels to Elon for a doubleheader. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m. at Hunt Softball Park.
The teams met last fall in a doubleheader and the Wolfpack swept the Phoenix. NC State owns an 11-8 advantage in its all-time series with Elon in NCAA competition. Last season the Pack traveled to Elon on April 12, and run-ruled the Phoenix in a 9-0 victory.
In fall competition NC State remains undefeated, outscoring its opponents 48-15.

@ Duke (10 innings): W, 10-3
East Carolina (DH): Game 1: W, 8-1; Game 2: T, 5-5
Georgia Highland (DH): Game 1: W, 10-2; Game 2: W, 6-0
@ Campbell (10 innings): W: 9-4
NC State returns 12 players from last year's roster, including All-ACC Second Team selection Jade Caraway. The coaching staff has additionally brought in six freshmen that were listed as the No. 19 recruiting class by FloSoftball, as well as sophomore transfers Devin Wallace and Angie Rizzi.
