Frantova Ranked No. 36 in Preseason Poll

RALEIGH - Senior Martina Frantova will begin the spring season as the 36th ranked Division I singles player in the country, according to the latest Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) singles poll, released Wednesday.

Frantova, who began the season ranked No. 29 in the poll, faced strong competition throughout the fall including No. 8 Luisa Stefani (Pepperdine), No. 10 Lily Miyazaki (University of Oklahoma) and No. 18 Lauren Marker (University of Arizona).
The Bratislava, Slovakia, native held a 9-5 record this fall, including a win at the Riviera/ITA All-American tournament in October, where she defeated No. 43 Anna Danilina (University of Florida).
The Wolfpack will kick off the spring lineup against Appalachian State on January 21.Â
