
NC State Picks Up Five Podium Finishes On Day Two Of Arena Pro Swim Series

Ipsen, Perry earn silver medals in respective events
AUSTIN, Texas - The NC State swimming and diving continued its impressive showing at the Arena Pro Swim Series in Austin, Texas, as five swimmers picked up podium finishes on Saturday evening inside UT's Texas Swim Center.
In the 200m backstroke Mackenzie Glover made an impressive showing after earning a bronze medal with a time of 2:11.18, while Hennessey Stuart also placed third in the men's event with a mark of 2:00.47.
Sprint specialists Ky-Lee Perry and Natalie Labonge finished second and third in the 50m freestyle with times of 25.51 and 25.64, in respective order. Anton Ipsen additionally picked up a silver medal in the men's 400m IM after stopping the clock at 4:21.07.
NC State saw five other top-eight finishes, as Hannah Moore finished fourth overall in the 400m IM in 4:48.74 and took sixth in the 200m back in 2:13.06.
Soren Dahl, Ryan Held and Coleman Stewart also took fifth in their respective events. Dahl posted a time of 1:49.92 in the 200m free, Held stopped the clock at 22.69 in the 50m free and Stewart finished in 2:03.50 in the 200m back.
The Wolfpack women additionally had a strong presence in the B final of the 50m free, as Courtney Caldwell, Krista Duffield and Lotta Nevalainen swept the heat in 25.90, 25.91 and 26.18, respectively. In the B final of the men's event Andreas Schiellerup and Scott Johnson earned a one, two finish with times of 23.04 and 23.31.
The Wolfpack will wrap up action Sunday at the Arena Pro Swim Series inside UT's Texas Swim Center. Prelims will begin at 10 a.m. and finals will commence at 7 p.m. ET.Â
