Raleigh, N.C. - Wolfpack fans proudly watched three PackPros take the field as starting quarterbacks for their respectively teams during NFL Week 3 as veterans Philip Rivers (San Diego Chargers) and Russell Wilson (Seattle Seahawks) were joined by first time starter Jacoby Brissett (New England Patriots). Brissett received the starting bid after Jimmy Garoppolo was injured during Week 2.Â
Â
Brissett played a key role in the Patriot's shutout against the Huston Texans, completing 11-of-19 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. His start marked the first time a rookie has started for the Patriots since 1993. He was also the first ever black quarterback to start at quarterback for the Patriots. The Patriots outscored the Texans, 27-0.
Brissett showed he doesn't just have an a powerful arm, he demonstrated his speed as he ran the ball in 27 yards for a touchdown.

Take a look at his exciting debut through a social media recap.Â
Philip Rivers completed 26-of-39 throws for 330 yards, but fell to the Indianapolis Colts, 22-26.Â
Russell Wilson, who has struggled with injury this year, had a strong first quarter against San Francisco, throwing 243 yards and scoring a touchdown. He later suffered another injury, straining his knee, which prevented him from completing the game. Nonetheless, the Seahawks walked away with the win, topping the 49ers 37-to-18. Wilson is expected to be back in action for this week's game against the Jets this Sunday.
Three cornerbacks also found playing time this week. David Amerson, who had been questionable with a recent concussion, had two tackles for Oakland and a interception, helping the Raiders win against the Titans. 17-10. Rookie Justin Burris took to the field for the Jet's, who fell short in their game against Kansas City, losing 3-24. Dontae Johnson made some key stops for the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, tallying one tackle along the way. The 49ers fell to the Seahawks.Â
Steven Hauschka continued his perfect season for Seattle, kicking 3-for-3, the longest from 33 yards out.
Stephen Tulloch had 2 tackles for the Eagles during their 34-3 win over the Steelers. Audie Cole resented the Viking's special teams as game captain against the Panthers. The Vikings beat the Panthers, 22-10. Willie Young rounded out the PackPros linebackers. Young had four tackles for the Bears during their loss against Dallas, 17-31.Â
Joe Thuney had some big blocks at starting guard for the Patriots' offense alongside Jacoby Brissett.
Â
Mario Williams had one tackle and one stuff for the Miami Dolphins in their win over the Cleveland Browns, 30-24.Â
Ted Larsen wrapped up this week's PackPros, playing on the offensive line for the Chicago Bears. The Bears fell to the Dallas Cowboys, 17-31.Â
