OXFORD, Miss. – The NC State volleyball team used a strong offensive performance to defeat the McNeese State Cowgirls in straight sets, 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-18), Friday afternoon inside The Pavilion on the Ole Miss campus.
The Wolfpack (3-2) recorded a season-high .315 attacking percentage as a team, while limiting the Cowgirls (1-4) to a .209 clip.
Quoting Hampton-Keith
Overall thoughts…
"I thought our team responded well today and did a good job of controlling the things we can control," said head coach Linda Hampton-Keith. "It's always tough to play a team that has a completely different style than you, so to step up and take care of business in three sets is something to be proud of."
On the team's strong offensive performance…
"Hitting .315 against a scrappy defensive team is a result of us focusing on the little things we needed to do to be good today."
