Five From Pack Named To USA Swimming National Team Roster

Three coaches and two swimmers named to 2016-17 roster
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Five members of the NC State swimming and diving program have been named to USA Swimming's National Team for the 2016-17 season, as swimmers Ryan Held and Hannah Moore were selected to the team for their strong efforts over the summer while Todd DeSorbo, Braden Holloway and Gary Taylor were named to the coaching roster.
The USA Swimming National Team consists of the top six athletes in Olympic events from the combined results of the 2016 USA Olympic Team Trials, the 2016 Olympic Games and the 2016 United States Open.Â
Held was a member of Team USA's 4x100m freestyle relay team that won gold at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, while Moore collected four top-five finishes at the 2016 U.S. Open and finished sixth in the 800m free at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials.
DeSorbo, Holloway and Taylor all played a vital part in Held and Moore's recent success in long course competition, and have been named in conjunction with the National Team's athletes.Â
