Ogden, Saveljic Win Matches on Final Day of James Bonk Invite

CARY, N.C. – Two from the NC State men's tennis team won matches on the final day of the Duke James Bonk Invitational. Michael Ogden picked up a win in the singles consolation final and Igor Saveljic finished third in the consolation draw of his bracket.

Ogden defeated Valparaiso's Dave Bacalla 6-4, 6-4 for his third win of the tournament. After falling in his first and third match of the tournament, Saveljic closed out the season-opener with a 7-5, 4-6, 7-5 win over Charlotte's Oriol Puig Forne.

Sean Burnette concluded play in his draw, falling to Valparaiso's Charlie Emhardt in the third place match. The true freshman has picked up a pair of wins to open the season.

Georgiy Malyshev dropped his final match to Duke's Vincient Lin, narrowly falling 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(6).

NC State closes out the tournament with nine singles wins.

The Pack will be back in action with the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
