RIO DE JANEIRO-Â United States Gymnastics Team member Laurie Hernandez captured her second medal of the 2016 Olympic Games on Monday as she earned a silver medal in the women's individual beam competition.Â
Hernandez is coached by Maggie Haney, a former member of the Wolfpack's gymnastics program, Hernandez posted a score of 15.333, while teammate Simone Biles tabbed a 14.733 to give the United States two medals in the event.Â
A New Burnswick, N.J., native, also helped Team USA collect its second-straight gold medal in the team all-around competition on Aug. 10.
