NC State Wrestling recognized as the top collegiate program for its social media efforts
RALEIGH, N.C. - The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), in coordination with Elite Level Sport Marketing (ELSM), named NC State its 2016 Gold Standard Award winner at their annual convention this past weekend.
The Gold Standard award is considered the highest honor in the Best of Brand awards and recognizes the program that had the strongest presence on social media throughout the year. It considers both the content and messaging produced by a program, in addition to recognizing the number of followers a program has and how they interact with them.
In addition, NC State was also one of 13 finalists, the only ACC school, for the Masterful Mission Award which is presented to the program that most effectively branded its mission on social media. The Pack was also a finalist for both the Top Highlight Reel and Pure Entertainment Video categories.
