Nine Named to All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Nine student athletes from the NC State track and field team were selected to the 2016 All-ACC Academic Outdoor Track and Field Team, as announced by the conference Wednesday afternoon.
Jonathan Addison, Joshua Davis, Sebastian Hanson, Nyheim Hines, Sam Parsons and Meron Simon represent the men's team, and Megan Moye, Alexis Perry and Alyssa Rudawsky made the women's team.
Every member selected to the the team scored points for the Pack at the ACC Championships and advanced to the NCAA East Preliminary. The group reached the podium at the ACC Championships a combined eight times.
Additionally, Addison, Hines, Parsons and Perry advanced to the NCAA Championships and combined for four First-Team All-America Honors.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
