COLUMBUS, Ga. – Just a few weeks before beginning his collegiate career at NC State, incoming freshman Benjamin Shipp tied for second in the prestigious 87th annual Southeastern Amateur Championship at the Country Club of Columbus.

Shipp—ranked the No. 1 junior golfer in the class of 2016 back in April—carded a 66 on the final round to finish just three strokes behind the tournament champion, Jared Bettcher.
