Women’s Golf Adds Lisa Brandl As Assistant Coach

Brandl comes to Raleigh from Southern Arkansas
RALEIGH- Former Division II standout Lisa Brandl has been hired as the assistant women's golf coach at NC State, as announced by head coach Page Marsh.
"We're excited about Lisa joining the Wolfpack family and being part of this team who wants to succeed in golf and academics," said Marsh. "Lisa has a great respect for the game and the model of the student-athlete. She's very excited for the opportunity to be part of this young team."
Brandl comes to Raleigh as a former graduate assistant coach at Southern Arkansas with its men's and women's programs from 2013-15. During her time with the Muleriders she helped lead the women's golf squad to its first tournament team win in program history in the 2015 season.
Since July of 2015 she has played golf professionally on the SunCoast Tour and competed in one event on the Symetra Tour while working at Mystic Creek Golf Club.
A Lauterhofen, Germany, native, Brandl was a standout player at Newberry College from 2009-13. She led the Wolves to SAC Team Championship titles in 2010, 12 and 13, and earned SAC All-Conference First Team honors in 2013 as well as Second Team honors in 2010 and 2012.
In addition to her strong athletic resume, she graduated from SAU with a Master's of Business Administration in addition to receiving Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and Alpha Chi Honor Society honors. At Newberry she was a two-time NGCA All-America Scholar Athlete, tabbed CoSIDA Academic All-America honors in 2013 and was a member of the Bachman Honor Society.
