ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Led by freshman Stephen Franken's 17th-place finish, the NC State men's golf team concluded its 2015-16 season Wednesday in 11th place at the NCAA Albuquerque Regional.
Through all three rounds of play at the challenging University of New Mexico Championship Course, the Wolfpack carded a team score of 929 (+65). No. 11 Arizona State claimed top honors at the event, shooting a team score of 876 (+12). TCU placed second at 888 (+24).
Heavy winds and occasional rain throughout the week made an already challenging course even more difficult, as the average score achieved at the Albuquerque Regional was 77.38 strokes per round.

Franken finished all three of his tournament rounds below the average course score of 77.38 strokes, shooting 76-75-75. His 17th-place finish marked the seventh time during his young career he has finished within the top 20 of a tournament field, and his completed season scoring average of 71.84 strokes per round was the Wolfpack's best mark this season.
FINAL SEASON RECORD
Including the results from the 2016 NCAA Albuquerque Regional, the NC State men's golf team finished the 2015-16 season with a solid 123-55-3 record. NC State golfers recorded 26 top-20 finishes in team tournaments throughout the course of the campaign.
