Addison Wins Second Straight ACC Performer of the Week Honor

GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the second straight week, Jonathan Addison has won the ACC Men's Field Performer of the Week honor. The Raleigh, N.C., native moved up to second in the nation after a leap of 25'11.00" in the long jump at the Florida Relays.
Over the weekend, Addison dominated the long jump invite, jumping seven inches farther than his closest competitor and improving 2'25" on his season-best. On the track, Addison recorded his fastest wind-legal 100m dash, running 10.53.
Last weekend, Addison made his outdoor debut, jumping 25'8.75" for the win at the Raleigh Relays. He also added a wind-aided 10.47 in the 100m dash and ran a leg on the 4x100 relay team. At the end of last weekend, the senior was ranked fourth nationally in the long jump and won the weekly award from the conference.
Addison is in his final outdoor season of competition and recent wrapped up an extraordinary final indoor season. He broke an indoor school record, earned an Olympic trials qualification mark, finished the regular season tied with the farthest jump in the NCAA, finished as the national runner up at the NCAA Indoor Championships, won the USTFCCCA Southeast Men's Field Athlete of the Year award, won an ACC title and was named the ACC's Men's Field Athlete of the Year.
