STATESBORO, Ga. – Shooting under par for the second straight day, the NC State men's golf team completed the second of three rounds at the 2016 Schenkel Invitational Saturday. The Wolfpack followed Friday's 283 (-5) with a 284 (-4) Saturday to end the afternoon in ninth place with a cumulative score of 567 (-9).
Three Wolfpack golfers shot under par Saturday at the Forest Heights Country Club. Jacob McBride and Carter Page recorded matching scores of 70 (-2) while teammate Stanhope Johnson shot a 71 (-1). Johnson leads all NC State golfers through two rounds, sitting tied for 14th in the field with a two-round score of 139 (-5).
No. 4 Auburn and Georgia State are tied atop the field through two rounds with team scores of 553 (-23). NC State currently ranks above North Florida, Iowa, College of Charleston, Harvard, and Atlantic Coast Conference foe Boston College.
