CLEMSON, S.C. – The NC State women's basketball team (19-10, 10-6 ACC) completed its regular season on a high note Sunday afternoon, defeating Clemson by a final score of 71-57.
Combined with the other results around the ACC on the final weekend of action, NC State's win moves the Wolfpack into a tie for fifth place in the conference standings with No. 17 Miami. The Hurricanes do hold the tiebreaker over the Wolfpack, having won in Coral Gables on December 30. Prior to the beginning of the season, NC State was selected to finish ninth in the ACC standings.

Dominique Wilson (14), Carlee Schuhmacher (10), and Chelsea Nelson (10) also had strong offensive outings. Freshman DD Rogers had a very efficient game, collecting 11 rebounds (career high) in just 15 minutes of game action.
Clemson's Aliyah Collier led all scorers with 21 points on 8-13 shooting. She was joined in double figures by teammate Nelly Perry (20).
"I'm proud of the toughness our kids showed," NC State head coach Wes Moore said in his postgame radio interview with broadcaster Patrick Kinas. "We had a lot of players really step up.
"Dominique didn't score in the first half and scored 14 in the second. Miah scored 12 points in the second half. Carlee and Chelsea combined at the five position to score 20 points and just miss one shot. In the second half we outrebounded Clemson by nine. DD Rogers had 11 rebounds in 15 minutes. That's just awesome. A lot of people contributed and we needed every ounce of it today."
