Taylor Shoots 67 To Lead Pack In First Round At Puerto Rico

FIRST ROUND RESULTS
RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico - Rachael Taylor fired a 5-under 67 and stands in second place after the first round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. As a team, the Wolfpack is 2-over and tied with Northwestern for fourth place.
Taylor carded six birdies on the day and shot 4-under on the front nine on the day. The senior Scotland native and NC State's returning scorer from last year, Taylor is one shot out of the lead behind Gabby Barker of Texas Tech.
2ND ROUND TEE TIMES
Laura Kowohl, playing in just her third college tournament, was even par on the day and is tied for 12th in the 88-player field. She birdied two holes on both the front and back nine. Sarah Bae (+3), Naomi Ko (+4) and Leonie Bettel (+7) rounded out the Wolfpack lineup.
Texas Tech and Georgia finished the day atop the 16-team field with team tallies of 5-under par. Arkansas (+1) is third, followed by the Pack and Northwestern. NC State is first among three ACC teams in the field, four shots ahead of Louisville and 14 shots better than Clemson.
The second round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic tees off Monday morning with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
