TRAVELING UNDEFEATED:
The Wolfpack began its season in a dramatic fashion but was able to maintain its focus on victory through the first three matches. After the original doubleheader home opener was cancelled due to weather, a matchup with East Carolina was inserted into the mix where the Pack came out on top 5-2. The following weekend the Pack faced its first doubleheader of the season along with its first ranked opponent, No. 42 William & Mary. In a neck-in-neck dual, which continued for almost six hours, the Red & White earned a 4-3 victory over the ranked Tribe. With a short turnaround the team was back on the court to face VCU, another near six-hour competition. Playing the No. 5 singles, freshman Amanda Rebol entered the final set of the deciding match. Rebol found victory in a 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 7-5 win over VCU's Janina Braun to edge 4-3 for the win.

Â
Almost a year to the day No. 37 LSU defeated No. 69 NC State 7-0 to break the Pack's undefeated streak. The Pack is certain to showcase a high level of play Friday.
Â
The Rajin' Cajuns faces its first Power 5 opponent of the season in NC State Saturday. 4-1 on the season, the Pack meets Louisiana-Lafayette in the latter part of a doubleheader as it will take on the University of South Alabama prior to facing the Wolfpack. The team's margin of victory has been relatively successful with wins of 6-1, 7-0, 5-2 and 6-1 so far this season.

SIMON SAYS:
"It's been almost two weeks since our last match and we've been able to put in a lot of work during that time as well as push our conditioning hard without any interruptions. I know everyone is eager and anxious to return to competition. We managed to practice several days outside and it's going to be good getting our first outdoors matches in this early. LSU has really stepped up its program over the past few seasons and is coming off of an appearance at the National Indoors which will be an excellent test of how far we have progressed as a group. Equally with Louisiana-Lafayette, we need to continue to give our all and find a way to fight through matches. As the team gains experience our performance levels should continue to grow." – Simon Earnshaw, head coachÂ
