No. 36 NC State Set for Midweek Test Against No. 25 Oklahoma State

RALEIGH, N.C. – The 36th-ranked NC State men's tennis team is set for a Tuesday afternoon (4:30 p.m.) match up against the 25th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys in Stillwater, Okla., at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
The Wolfpack (4-1) and The Cowboys (6-1) will face off for the second time in program history. Oklahoma State has the lone victory in the series, a 7-2 triumph at a neutral site in 1982.
The Cowboys are coming off a pair of dominating wins against No. 11 Wake Forest and No 22 Minnesota. Their only loss of the season came in a 4-3 defeat against third-ranked TCU in an ITA Regional final.
NC State will look to upset Oklahoma State in a difficult arena. Only six teams since the 2014 opening of the Greenwood Tennis Center have left with a victory. The Cowboys hold a 21-6 record in the arena.
The Wolfpack is coming off an ITA Regional final loss. NC State dropped a tight, 4-2 decision to rival North Carolina. The Pack won at the top two singles positions, but UNC was able to get by with a doubles points and singles victories from the third, fifth and sixth spots in the line up.
Tuesday's match will be NC State's first match since ITA Kickoff Weekend.
Thomas Weigel, Nick Horton and Simon Norenius will aim to stay undefeated in singles play. The upperclassmen have provided vital points for the Pack this season.
