ACC Release
GREENSBORO, N.C. – NC State's Laurie Henes has been named the ACC Women's Coach of the Year, as announced by the ACC office on Wednesday.

This year, Henes, who just concluded her 11th season at the helm of the women's program, led the team to its 22nd overall conference championship title. This was Henes' second win as head coach. In 2006, she also received the honor after the team topped the ACC.
Additionally, Henes coached an impressive six women, Rachel Koon, Wesley Frazier, Alyssa Rudawsky, Elly Henes, Ryen Frazier and Kaitlyn Kramer, to All-ACC honors, the most in program history at one championship.
At the NCAA Championships, the women's team finished fourth—their second-highest finish in history behind the 2001 runner-up finish. Two Wolfpack women, Erika Kemp and Rachel Koon, finished with All-American honors at the meet. This was the team's 30th time qualifying for the meet, which stands as the current NCAA record for most appearances by a women's program.
With the conclusion of cross country, coach Henes will now focus on the track and field season.
