Q: Coming from New Bern, were you an NC State fan growing up?
Â
A: Actually, both of my parents graduated from North Carolina, but NC State gave me the chance to walk-on and be a member of the football team here so I've just been really fortunate how things worked out.
Â
Q: This spring the quarterbacks transitioned to a new position coach in Eli Drinkwitz. How was the transition?
Â
A: It has been great for us. All of us in that QB room accepted the situation and we really respect him and love playing for him. We have adopted the offense, and just help each other out and make sure everybody is on the same page.
Â
Q: On game days, we see you on the sidelines signaling plays. What is your role in regards to that?
Â
A: I'll get the signals, and make sure whoever is in at QB knows the play call and formations. I'm just staying engaged too on the sidelines, helping the QBs out by telling them what we see from the sidelines. Helping those guys out with their reads during the game.
Â
Q: What kind of rush is it to run out of the tunnel on game days?
Â
A: It is fun. Every time it is a great feeling. The first time was definitely the best because of that first time experience, but it is something you always enjoy.
Â
Q: Your senior year in high school, you helped your team to a state title as was named MVP. What kind of feeling was that coming in your last game?
Â
A: It was a great feeling to close that chapter of my playing career like that. It was just how you picture it when you know your career is coming to an end. We finish the season over at Keenan Stadium this year, on the same field where I had that game, so maybe Coach Drinkwitz could get me some snaps over there and let me get one more touchdown.
Â
Q: You have been involved with a lot of community service, how much do you like doing those things.
Â
A: It is big for everybody on our team, we are just trying to give back what we can to the community because we all are so fortunate with what we have here. We have such great fans here in Raleigh, they do so much for us by supporting us, and just anything we can do for them is big.
Â
Q: Your major is Business Operations and Supply, can you describe what that is and what kind of job you will be looking for after college?
Â
A: I'm really not sure what is in store for me after I graduate, still trying to work it all out. The major is basically how you are getting your supplies from point A to point B, working on all the background work and logistics. I do see myself working somewhere in the business field.
