No. 9 Rifle Primed for GARC Match Versus No. 12 Memphis

RALEIGH, N.C. – The ninth-ranked NC State rifle team will head to Ohio this weekend for a Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) match against No. 12 Memphis. The contest will be held inside the Hugh W. Wylie Range on The Ohio State University's campus and begin at 9 a.m.

The Wolfpack enters the matchup with a 5-2 overall record, including a 2-1 mark versus GARC opponents.

In its most recent outing, NC State picked up three wins at The Citadel, defeating both of the host Bulldogs' teams in addition to a victory against conference foe Navy. The Wolfpack fired a team score of 4655 at the match to earn the league win by 30 points.

Junior Olympian Lucas Kozeniesky led the Pack in all three disciplines at the match, as he finished first in the air rifle (596), smallbore (586) and aggregate total of 1182.

Last season, NCSU dropped a 4643-4635 decision against Memphis, which was ranked No. 7 at the time. The match was held at a neutral site in Jacksonville, Ala.
