CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The NC State men's soccer team begins the 2016 postseason Wednesday evening at No. 17/6 Virginia for the first round of the ACC Championship. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Klockner Stadium with action to be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra.

LAST MATCH
NC State scored four goals and battled back from a deficit on three separate occasions Saturday evening, but ultimately fell 5-4 in overtime at No. 37 Boston College in the 2016 regular-season finale.
Tanner Roberts (2), Julius Duchscherer, and Lukas Zarges scored for the Wolfpack Saturday evening and NC State outshot the Eagles by a 16-8 margin, but goals from Trevor Davock (3), Callum Johnson, and an NC State own goal in overtime proved to be the narrow difference in the contest.
SOPHOMORE JUMPS
Sophomores Julius Duchscherer, Tanner Roberts, and Clayton Sparks have had the opposite of sophomore slumps during their second seasons with the Wolfpack. Duchscherer has so far added four goals to his season total a year ago (5 to 9), Roberts has quadrupled his tally from last season (1 to 4), and Sparks has tripled his total (1 to 3). These three sophomores have combined to score 16 of NC State's 25 goals this season.
