NC State Softball Opens Fall Schedule Friday Evening

Wolfpack hosts Camels at Dail Stadium

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State softball team will begin its fall schedule Friday evening when the Campbell Camels visit Raleigh. First pitch of the contest is slated for 6 p.m. at Dail Stadium.

Ten innings will be played in the game, as teams are permitted to play a maximum of 10 innings during fall games.

NC State and Campbell met during the 2016 regular season, with the Wolfpack earning the doubleheader sweep, winning game one, 8-5, and the second contest of the twin bill, 9-1, in Raleigh.

The Wolfpack began fall practice Sept. 13 and has been anxiously awaiting the start of the fall schedule. NC State will play seven exhibition games designed to give the players a chance to play in a competitive game, as well as give the coaching staff a glimpse of what they can expect from the team in the spring season.

The squad welcomes five freshmen to the team for 2017, while two seniors graduated from last year's squad.
