Wolfpack Falls in ACC Championship Quarterfinal at No. 12 Notre Dame

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The NC State women's soccer team put together a strong performance against the No. 1 overall seed Notre Dame at Alumni Stadium in the ACC Championship quarterfinal, but ultimately fell after an 88th minute goal from the home team.
Notre Dame slipped by to book its spot in the semifinal after getting outshot 11-6 and out possessed throughout much of the match. NC State held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks and a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal, but could not tally an elusive goal against one of the nation's best defenses.

NC State now seeks an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships. The NCAA will broadcast the selection show Monday, Nov. 7th at 4:30 p.m. on the NCAA.com. The Wolfpack posted an impressive regular-season resume, which includes five wins over opponents that were nationally ranked or receiving votes in the national polls.
