Men’s Tennis Closes Out Action at Wolfpack Invitational

Raleigh, N.C. – NC State concluded its dominating performance at the Wolfpack Invitational, as it swept the championship matches on the final day of competition. Nick Horton, Georgiy Malyshev and Paul Spencer won their respective finals to cap off the weekend with 4-0 records.
Horton defeated Alexis Galarneau in the red draw with a 6-2, 6-1 victory. The win marks Horton's seventh of the year, which is good for the team lead.
Malyshev downed Elon's Chris Humphreys 6-1, 6-2 in the white draw. The four wins bring Malyshev to six wins this season and mark an impressive comeback after a tough outing in his previous tournament.
Malyshev also concluded doubles action today, partnering with Michael Ogden for an 8-4 victory against UNC-Wilmington's Josh Hublitz and Gabe Hocevar.
In the black draw, Paul Spencer capped off a perfect 4-0 start to his Wolfpack career with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Chris Mikrovas.
