Wolfpack Softball Opens Fall Slate Against Elon Friday Afternoon

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State softball team will open its fall slate Friday afternoon when the Elon Phoenix head to Raleigh. First pitch of the twin bill is slated for 4:30 p.m. at Dail Stadium with the second game to follow.

The Wolfpack was scheduled to kick off its fall schedule last Friday against Campbell, but that contest was postponed due to weather. Additionally, Thursday's doubleheader with Pitt Community College was canceled due to an inability to travel for PCC and no makeup date has been scheduled.

NC State and Elon met during the 2016 regular season, with the Phoenix earning a 4-2 victory in extra innings at Dail Stadium.

Admission is free and fans attending the contest are encouraged to park in the coliseum deck.
