RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 40 NC State men's tennis team is slated to face second-seeded and 35th-ranked Drake University Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the ITA Kickoff Weekend. The Pack enters the regional as the third seed and will aim for a spot at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in February.
Â
All matches will be played indoors at The Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center on North Carolina's campus in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Â
The Path to Charlottesville:
NC State must win two matches this weekend to advance to the ITA National Team Indoors Championships located in Charlottesville, Va. In addition to Drake, The Pack could play fourth seed Indiana or top seed North Carolina in its Sunday match.
Â
The Competition:
North Carolina leads all teams with three ranked singles players. The Tar Heels also have the nation's top-ranked doubles duo of Brett Clark and Robert Kelly. Indiana is paced by 27th-ranked Sam Monette.
